You know, a better question might be what isn’t in my bag.
But generally, in my totally awesome messenger bag, I tend to haul around my wallet, my

Sesame chicken. Pasta, honey cake, Nutella and apples on toast. Corned beef on rye. Apples, strawberries, blueberries. Cake frosting, sans the cake. Greek salad. I also make a very good pasta sauce.
I generally prefer hard liquor to beer, but even though it’s seasonal, Great Lakes Christmas Ale is pretty nice. I also like iced tea, and loganberry, which is like iced tea except better and usually turns your mouth purple if you drink too much of it. It is sweet and local and delicious.
Day 12: This week.
It’s getting off to a good start. School’s being a pain, but when is it not? I’ve got a meeting with my professor on Wednesday to figure out why the computer program we have to do our homework on keeps marking legitimately correct answers as “wrong,” and I have two essays that need to be finished and handed in on Friday that I haven’t had time to start yet. I still have to take my tour of the grain elevators and get a drink down at the Pearl Street Brew Pub before Thursday rolls around. I need to get my car inspected this weekend. I’m seeing my friend Amanda on Sunday for the first time since last summer. I met up with my friend Nora yesterday before she went to work and we had dinner at Sake, this little Japanese restaurant I’d never been to before. I have to make more namecards for the Health Fair and I’ve got two articles that need to be fixed before I can give them back to my supervisor and put them up to the CDHS website. It’s busy, but it hasn’t been too bad and for the most part, it’s been fun.
I also threw my jerk boss from the library’s nametag off a waterfall yesterday, so the only place I can go from here is up. :D
Day 13: Your dreams.
“Dreams” as in “goals”? To be a better person – and if I can’t be that, then to at least be an okay person, but a truly fantastic robot. To get my degree by next winter. To be out of this town by next fall. To go to Europe and Australia. To finish the novel I’ve been carrying around in my head these past few years and maybe even get it published. To find someone who loves me back.
“Dreams” as in “a literal dream”? I don’t usually remember them, and the ones I do are weird. Kim Kardashian punched me in the throat in this one I had not too long ago and I don’t even remember why. And then there was one where everyone I knew was suddenly a bird, for some reason. McBuff was a falcon, Harper was a seagull. I was a sparrow. It was strange.
