I just got back from Saratoga a few hours ago – I didn’t get to go to the Revolutionary War museum or the racetrack, but my sister, Tessa, had a crew competition up there this weekend that was actually pretty fun to watch. She’s a coxswain – the girl at the front of the boat giving directions – not a rower, and for as much as I like to tease her about her tiny hands and hatred of putting actual effort into any writing she does up at school, she is really, really good at this. It’s a little funny to me, just because her boat is full of boys and Tessa’s looks like this tiny little fifth grader compared to them, but when she tells them to jump, they ask her how high.
And it shows: they came in first place four times yesterday, beating out Clarkson and the Army teams!
