I know I tend to joke a lot about secretly being a robot - to be fair, though, Harper is the one who started it and therefore it is completely her fault - but upon further reflection, I really do have some strange, robot-related tendencies. I listen to a lot of Daft Punk (which, let's be honest, is just music by robots), in my moments of frustration I often go into a weird state of angry, flailing robot arms, and I can also translate English into Binary.

Simple phrases, mostly. I learned it in a math class my first year in college and found it easier to understand than, say, hexadecimal or base ten, and I can't write out anything more complicated than "the cat sits on the chair" if I'm doing it by hand, but still...this particular talent is absolutely no help in proving to Harper (...and everyone else, really) that I am not actually a cylon of some sort.

And then this happened. I'm going to put the blame cysfics and artfreak17 for this, because they encouraged me and artfreak17 gave me a fancier translator than the one I was using. You're all a bunch of enablers! :-P

Linkara might have been cute if he wasn’t her boss’ most hated enemy.

It’s the whole package, she thinks: the nerdiness and the coat and the enthusiasm and the gun and the whole “saving people-thing” that the doctor gets so worked up about. It also probably has something to do with the hat, which is currently tilted over Linkara’s left eye as he stares down at Insano through the video screen.

“This isn’t over, Insano! I know you’re the one who tried to steal my gun!” He points said gun angrily at the camera, and Insano laughs. “I don’t know how – and I don’t know why – but I know you did it!”

“What use would I have for such a simple weapon?” Insano sneers. “Magic – pah! I don’t need your silly, problematic magic when I have…SCIENCE!”

Linkara groans and covers his eyes with his free hand. “Oh my God, do you ever shut up about science?”

“Science is always pertinent, you fool!” Insano snaps. “And besides, you can’t prove anything!”

“I don’t care! My gun, the kidnappings – I know you’re the one behind it all!”

“Wait, kidnappings?”

Right as Doctor Insano motions for her to stop talking, Linkara shouts, “Yes, kidnappings!” Insano glares at her, but Linkara pulls the doctor’s attention back to him.

“Don’t you even tell your assistant what you’re up to, Insano? Iron Liz, Harvey Finevoice, Pollo, Bear…” Linkara holds up a finger for every missing friend. “The only one left is Nineties Kid! Nineties Kid! I always knew you were evil, but I never thought you could be so cruel.”

From somewhere off-camera, she can hear who she can only presume is Nineties Kid shouting, “Duuuuuuuuude, just chill! You are so not radical right now!” Linkara lets out another frustrated groan and the transmission cuts away to static.
