Five Things I’ve Learned So Far At Buff State:

1.) Their library is quite possibly the greatest place ever. It has three floors, hidden rooms, and a courtyard, people. A courtyard. Plus, there’s a poetry group that meets on the roof!

2.) Just because a parking lot is labeled as a student lot does not necessarily make it one, and campus security will not hesitate to ticket you.

3.) None of the construction they started over the summer will ever actually be finished, so good luck navigating the campus when the only path to the building all your classes are in is blocked off by a giant crane.

4.) Walking between two buildings is the equivalent of walking through a wind tunnel, even when there isn’t a breeze.

5.) There is a Chick-Fil-A in the student union, and their chicken sandwich is just as delicious as I was led to believe.

There was also some stuff about the Crusades and the spread of Calvinism from Europe to America in there somewhere. Oh! And for my one class, our ongoing project is going to be making a tourism video for Buffalo in the same vein as these ones for Cleveland:

 

So, yeah...I'm kind of excited for this. :o) It's been a pretty good day, even with the parking ticket, and hopefully tomorrow will be the same. Just...maybe without campus security being a pain in the ass, because that sign totally said "Student Lot." I'm pretty sure I wasn't hallucinating that - it was early, but not that early.


ETA: I can't believe I haven't said this before, but Harper is now a writer for Cracked! Her articles are pretty damn funny, even if she keeps insisting that I'm really a robot in disguise, and she's even written a piece about Ask That Guy!

Good to know that you're having a good time - yay libraries! - and that ATG article was so, so awesome. I believe Number 15 is pretty much confirmed (didn't just love N. Bison's hopeful lil' look when when ATG had his Kickassia cameo?), just like Ask That Guy got some of Critic's squee when he rushed for a cookie in one ep.

Yeah, good luck with that wind tunnel...we had one of those at Fredonia, and all I can say is, just wait until Winter XD

And that tourism video sounds really cool, I want to see it when you're finished! Haha, I love in the second Cleveland video at the end, where all they can think to say is, "We're not Detroit!" twice. Hilarious.
