Date: 2010-10-31 11:15 pm (UTC)Em's going to comment Critic/Chick, so how about Y/Lucy. Because...just because.
This is a comment.

Date: 2010-11-01 12:08 am (UTC)1. Em's random number generator drabble. Lucy was so feisty and I loved the interaction they had together.
2. Where they work. There's so much going wrong all at once and it's hard to stay sane in that kind of environment.
3. They play off each other very well - Lucy can balance out Y's snark and Y can keep Lucy grounded. It's adorable.
4. Lucy's angry temperament often gets the best of her and Y can be too passive, and they really are two very different people who found each other through strange circumstances. I doubt if they'd met elsewhere they'd even talk to one another.
5. Hasn't happened yet. They're still (relatively) sweet together and I'm hoping it stays that way for a little while longer. :)
6. For Y? Linkara or Mary. For Lucy? Probably Ellis or Joe. Maybe Stacey.
7. They get out of the club and drive far, far away from Chicago and all the dark stuff they've both got in their pasts. Maybe Boston. Lucy's heard it's nice in the fall.
Part the Second:
1. I'm so jealous of your library. The pictures you posted of it look so homey.
2. Bright, bright red.
3. Reading what you had written of the Victorian!AU back when I was still lurking and thinking, "Oh, wow, this is fantastic. I'm not going to be able to write as well as this." And then I stayed hidden for about another month after that, I think.
4. A kitty! A tabby like Cat!McGonagall, with the eyeglass markings and everything.
5. What made you want to become a librarian?
6. I always love hearing feedback from you, because you make me want to be a better writer.
7. I...I don't think I have one. Maybe you could try being less awesome? :)

Date: 2010-11-01 12:32 am (UTC)4. Hmmm, that's an interesting point. *thinks*
6. I love the variety of pairings this AU can provide (and justify!). It's just lovely. <3 (brain-breaky, at times, but lovely nonetheless).
7. Aaaaand headcanon. I am a sucker for happy endings, even in dark scenarios.
1. *blushes* Thank you! It's a bit small, but it's mine. Well, the school's. But it's my baby.
3. *extra super blush* Well, you totally can, and did. So there.
4. Is it wrong I grinned like a loon for being compared to McGonagall?
5. I was homeschooled, a lot of the time by myself, and didn't have a lot of friends. When I went to the public library, or the church library, or the school library...well, it was like being surrounded by friends every time. Some were awkward, some were light, some were funny, some were old, some were new, but they were always there. Those libraries and their books always welcomed me, so...other people should get those opportunities. I'm such a sap, I teared up writing that.
Oh, and I have an organization fetish. So there's that.
6 & 7 *flails*

Date: 2010-11-01 12:32 am (UTC)1. When you first wrote them together. That answer's going to happen a lot, I think. ;)
2. What I think their challenge is: Like with Y and Lucy, where they work. It's just a hellhole and they're two of the people keeping everyone else down with them, and I think it definitely will start to wear on them after a while, if it hasn't already.
3. The power-struggles! Oh, the power-struggles!
4. They're both too proud to admit any type of feeling for the other outside of hate and anger.
5. Hasn't happened yet. I'm still enamored with them and curious as to where they'll both end up.
6. Michaud: like you said, he'd work well with Ellis or Liz. For Chick, Critic or Film Brain. Maybe Marz.
7. (At the very, very, very end of all Hooker!Verse fics (which hopefully will not happen for a while), Michaud actually admits he cares for her. Chick doesn't say anything, but from then on the two of them are a little more careful around the other. Okay, so maybe it's not a "happy" ending, but that is how I could see their arc playing out
Part the Second:
1. The Date With Doug episode. It was so funny and awkward and it sparked some vaguely shippy feelings in my cold, robot heart.
2. Neither one can ever admit to being wrong, and both of them will literally fight as long as it takes to prove that they're the one who is right. It gets tiring after a while.
3. All the snark coating actual affection! Plus, they have very good chemistry together and it shows.
4. That they don't collaborate all that much anymore. I know that both are busy with other projects, but still...
5. What moment I wish had never happened:
6. Who I'd be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: For Critic, probably Nerd or Spoony. For Chick...Nella or Joe, maybe?
7. Awkward cereal dinners and fighting over stupid movies. And then make-up sex.
Part the Third:
1. You like M*A*S*H and you ship BJ/Hawkeye! If I had a M*A*S*H OTP, that would probably be it!
2. A very deep shade of violet.
3. Stumbling onto the tgwtg_fic community after a weird conversation with a friend and finding one of your Hooker!Verse fics at the top of the page, then reading it and being blown away by how good it was.
4. A puppy. Specifically, this one: http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0PDoS0ZBs5M6QtuMAi_SjzbkF/SIG=1269tocdp/EXP=1288656793/**http%3a//cutepuppydog.net/wallpapers/cute-puppy5.jpg
5. You're one of the original musketeers, but what made you want to start writing for this kind of fandom?
6. You are seriously one of the sweetest, nicest people I've ever had the opportunity to meet, internet or otherwise, and I'm grateful for it.
7. I know I'm not on twitter much, but I worry about you sometimes, sweetheart. *hugs*

Date: 2010-11-01 04:43 pm (UTC)And if nothing else, it proved that he does actually kinda like her. :P In that bratty, pulling-pigtails way, of course.
4. That they don't collaborate all that much anymore. I know that both are busy with other projects, but still...
I heard a while ago on Lindsay's twitter that she's planning another (five-part) arc. If the Critic's not in that, I'll eat me hair.
5. You're one of the original musketeers, but what made you want to start writing for this kind of fandom?
Well, zel, bubo and I were talking a lot and at the same time, I was getting sucked into the awesomeness of Ask That Guy. Before this, I was never into character pairings that hadn't even met yet but I just figured "why not create a crack pairing?" So I did and the rest is depraved history. ;)

COMMENTED with COMMENTNESS and COMMENTING!

Date: 2010-11-01 09:26 pm (UTC)Part the First:
1. Right around the time I gave them that funny little exchange in my Stacey story, but you really just hammered it home in "a thousand times" because that is exactly how I see them and their relationship turning out - friendship right on the verge of something more, but no one ever taking the chance to do something about it.
2. A combination of Lucy's temper and Ellis' own demons coming back to haunt him. His past is more messed up than anyone might guess, and I would think that a part of him is afraid that if he did get involved with Lucy, that it would hurt her in some way.
3. Ellis gets Lucy in a way that Y doesn't. They both try to get Lucy to stop her destructive behavior, but while Y gets frustrated with her and doesn't understand why she does stupid things in the first place, Ellis is a little more easygoing about it and far more willing to listen.
4. I highly doubt Ellis will ever let Lucy know how he feels, because he's her boss and he doesn't want to "sink to Michaud's level", as it were. It's like Chick and Michaud, but sadder...and with considerably less creepy/hot sexytimes and power-struggles.
5. Sometimes I just want to shake Ellis and tell him, "You like her, you idiot, and she likes you! Go! Go do something about it!"
6. Ellis: Michaud or maybe Liz. Lucy: Y, Joe, or Stacey.
7. The club burns down - faulty electrical wiring, or something to that effect; nothing that anyone could have prevented - and Michaud gives Ellis a choice: they can start over, or they can go their separate ways. Ellis picks the second option, and he leaves Chicago with Lucy.
Part the Second:
1. I love your poetry. I think "Magnolia Lips" and "Through the Hard Glass Wall" are my favorites of the ones I've read.
2. Emerald green.
3. Finding your Juno fiction on ff.net, and then using Here is the Church, Here is the Steeple to prove to my friend Harper that people both can and have written good stories for that movie.
4. A fox. Namely, this one: http://thundafunda.com/3993/images/animals/wild-animals-cute/arctic-fox-kit-pictures.jpg
5. If you could travel to anywhere in the world on a one-way ticket, where would you go?
6. You are seriously a fabulous writer, and it always makes me happy to see when you have something new posted. And you wrote me Stacey-fic that one time! No one's ever written me a story before!
7. I...I don't know. Maybe, like nombre, you could try being less awesome?
no subject
Date: 2010-11-02 04:39 am (UTC)7. That would be awesome, although I see Michaud/Ellis's story ending in a far, far, far, far worse place than that. But then, you know me. Dark as all fuck. :-D
Part the Second
1. Yippee! I like the "Through the Hard Glass Wall" primarily because goddammit, there aren't enough poems with tuataras in them. They're awesome and need more love.
4. I am absolutely showing that picture to my boyfriend.
5. Mmmm...good question. I'd say either France or London.
7. People have asked before! I have tried! ...Didn't really work too well.

Date: 2010-11-01 02:50 pm (UTC)No idea - all I know is that winter is coming fast, and right now I am wishing that I could be anywhere but here. :)
Part the First:
1. I'd kind of had it in my head that Joe and Mary were together before the series started properly (with him as her toolbox ex-boyfriend that only appeared off-screen), but then Freya wrote "in her blood" and it was so good and the whole thing just fit. And I'm glad for that, because this 'verse needed a good guy like Joe. So yay for Freya!
2. Joe struggling to not punch any guy who comes near Mary. He was never very good at the whole "sharing" thing.
3. He looks out for her, and in a place where kindness is very, very rare, he's sweet not just to her, but to all the girls. It's a good balance, I think, not just for Joe and Mary but for the club dynamic as a whole.
4. I think Mary's insecurities might get the best of her later on, and because she's young and scared and a little bit neurotic about people being nice to her, even though they care about each other I think she might panic and try to push Joe away.
5. Like with some of my other comments, it hasn't happened yet. Everything is still so fluid in all the different story arcs going on, and I'm really just exicted to see where the 'verse ends up next.
6. For Joe, probably Lucy. For Mary, either Liz or Y.
7. They get in Joe's car one night after the club closes, but they don't go to either one of their homes. They keep on driving and never come back.
Part the Second:
1. I love the profile picture you have on your twitter. I have no idea what the context is, I don't know who it is that you're impersonating, but it always makes me giggle whenever I see it.
2. A soft, pretty shade of yellow.
3. Like everybody else, your Film Brain fic, because it was sad and sweet and made me wibble a little bit.
4. A liger! They totally exist, too! Look: http://liger.org/images/liger.jpg
5. You said once that you'd moved to six different towns before you were ten years old. May I ask why?
6. You are a total sweetheart, and I'm glad that I'm not the only one who got started in this fandom writing Hooker!Verse fic. :)
7. Doesn't exist. I think you're adorable.

Date: 2010-11-01 05:45 pm (UTC)7. I think that's the ultimate dream for most of them.
1. It was my brother's 21st and being a child of the eighties he decided to have an 80's themed party. That look is half my costume, half my then boyfriend's Magnum PI. Plus a whole lotta vino.
3. I wish I knew who the OP was for that, 'cause I'd love to give them a hug.
4. I'm a tiger! I'm a lion! I'm a tiger and a lion! [/Chinatown]
5. My dad worked at one of the banks when I was growing up (until I was 15) and the policy at the time was to move staff around with promotions. So I started in Sydney and moved around the state as my dad got new jobs. Kinda like army brats. That's not the policy they have anymore so there's this tiny group of us that remember it, even to the point of having lived in rental houses right after the other.
6. & 7. D'awwww, shucks.
