Stolen (As Always) From Emeriin:

Because I'm bored at work, and because Linkara and Paw are being uncooperative in that ten facts list I owe Em:

Give me a character's name (you can even do hooker!verse OCs if y'like) and I will tell you three reasons why it would be terrible to try to date them, have sex with them, or be in a long-term relationship with them.

For an extra challenge, pick characters you know I'm fond of. Anyone can tell you reasons not to date Cthulhu, after all.

Joe.

*kicks your boredom in the face*

(Dude, I am seriously the only person in my part of the office today. Bored is an understatement. :P)

1.) He's so loud. Sometimes I just want to read in quiet, you know? Not have to listen to him cackling like a lunatic while he blows up enemy bases on a computer.

2.) He's an opinionated, trigger-happy nerd-boy who can't stand being wrong. Fun to watch, but not so fun to have a relationship with.

3.) He thinks machinery is "sexy." For as much as Harper jokes about it, I am not a robot. The impending conversation would be awkward.

XD

Best. Reasons. Ever. XD

1.) I don't think I could live with him and his "other selves" being in each other's pockets all the time. I like Harvey, and 90s Kid, and Ninja-Style Dancer, but being around them all the time would get very old, very fast. (I don't know how Iron Liz does it, honestly. :P)

2.) Linkara strikes me as a bit of a literature snob, and sometimes I just want to read something and enjoy it, not delve through all the ~symbolism~ and completely deconstruct it or whatever. Plus, there's the fact that I read a lot of trash - no, seriously: for every good book I've read, there's about three or four that are just plain awful, and I don't think he'd be able to stop laughing when he sees the titles/summaries/listens to me rage about how terrible they are.

3.) How many enemies does he have now? Insano, Lord Vyce, Mechakara, Linksano, that Entity thing...While it sounds romantic, being involved with a "hero" and all, putting yourself in constant danger/constantly being close to death and impending doom is not a good idea.

Good points, I say. :)

Do something a wee bit different. Critic in the verse that somehow brought your glorious self into this fandom.

[identity profile] rachelleneveu.livejournal.com 2011-07-08 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
*giggleblush* Only reason I'm here is because of you, m'dear.

1.) Critic puts on a lot of masks - even when he's with the people he cares about, I think the closest we've seen to the "real Critic" is when he's alone. He's good at putting up walls and pretending everything's fine, even when it isn't.

2.)Critic needs to part of a pair - him and Ask That Guy, him and Chick, him and Linkara, him and Nerd - to function almost normally. He doesn't do well by himself (as we've seen), and I don't think I could be there for him 24/7 like he'd need me to be.

3.) If yet another person took his brother's attention away from him, Ask That Guy would probably kill them. I enjoy breathing, thank you. ;)

Nicely done, and I enjoy you breathing too. ;)

Normal!Verse That Other Guy? (The one who's a bad boss and goes between hurting Critic and looking after him, not Rob. xD)

1.) He's manipulative. Not to Machiavellian proportions, not quite, but he's got ways of making people do things that they wouldn't ordinarily do (see: 90s Kid reading Todd's thesis on Rihanna, Critic reviewing the other animated Titanic movie, and so forth).

2.) He will not shut up in a movie. I know this trait runs in the family, but still...I know Reefer Madness is awful, but I still want to watch it and not have to keep rewinding to hear things I missed, just because you're keeping a running commentary through the whole thing.

3.) There's also the whole "I'm-randomly-a-dinosaur-now!" thing. I think I'd need some kind of warning, first, if there was the possibility of waking up to that one unsuspecting Tuesday morning.
